Book Book

Kevin Rabalais

Book Book is a new podcast for writers and readers, hosted by John Prins. If you’ve ever read a passage over and over and wondered how the writer made the prose work, this podcast might be for you. These conversations focus on craft and process, and as well as delivering insights from our best living writers, Book Book also hopes to document the best books in Aotearoa.

Close Encounters podcast: Henry IV Part II

Kevin Rabalais

Our first 'Close Encounters' podcast made in the Faculty of Arts recording studio is here! This new series of short talks presents close readings of stories, books, poems and plays, featuring scholars and writers.

Professor Tom Bishop talks about Shakespeare's play Henry IV Part II in this podcast. It has been designed for teachers and high school students, but please share the link with anyone you know who's interested in the context and content of Shakespeare's history plays.

Our podcasts are engineered by the talented Tim Page, who is also the composer of each podcast's music. We'll post links to new podcasts when they're ready. If you have any special requests, please email Paula Morris
